Fulton Grange will be host for the Lancaster County Pomona Grange No. 71 spring meeting Saturday, April 11, 8 p.m. instead of the third Saturday of April. Fulton Grange gave a $5O donation to the Solanco Medical Scholarship Fund. Harry Baker was appointed chairman of ticket sales for the Grange's annual turkey supper April 4. The Master gave a report of the Pennsylvania State Grange regional conference held at Wpst Chester. Five people from this Grange attended. He also reported attending the Solanco School District long range planning meeting. Clifford Holloway Jr., chairman of the tour committee, reminded the members to get their reser vations in for the one-day tour to Tangier Island May 23rd. Penn State and local extension staffers will discuss the manure handling systems in corporated into the design. A general public open house will follow the session. The Bupp farm is located about eight miles south of York, between Exits 2 and 3 of Interstate 83, off Ridge View Road, just east of old Route 111, the York-Baltunore road. plans to remove a tree trom the hall grounds March 14. Stanley Stauffer Jr. presented the program which opened with group singing “The Grange Is Marching On.” She then presented Ronald Althoff, a member of the Solanco Senior High School faculty m the Agricultural Department, who accompanied the following FFA members who are members of the Solanco Parliamentary Procedure Team: Doug Hershberger, Ken Scott, Leon and Tina Tadych, Jack Heidelbaugh, Brent Holzhauer, Tom Herr and Ken Miller. These students ptit on a very fine demonstration of conducting their business meeting. They will be competing in county-wide com petition. Mrs. Stauffer conducted a game in which Richard Holloway modelled a shirt adorned with 35 items all farmers should have at hand, and all were to list them. Edward Zug listed the most.
