Keystone Classic swine champions selected
HARRISBURG - A Yorkshire
bred gilt, a Chester White boar
and a Landrace open gilt took the
championships of the Keystone
Classic All Breeds Swine Show on
Friday, March 6, at the Farm
Equipment Expo.
Tops in the bred gilt competition
was CLL9 Tank’s Miss Traveler 18-
9, exhibited by Calvin H Lazarus &
Sons, of Whitehall, Lehigh County
Farrowed on Feb. 15,1980, the gilt
is out of CLL 2 Miss Deacon 19-1,
sired by RFNS Mr. Real Bob 132-3
The reserve champion bred gilt
was a Duroc shown by Larry
Arnold, of Lebanon.
.In the boar competition, the
championship went to a Chester
White, New Grits 2-1, exhibited by
Ken Wetzel, Rl, Rossiter, Indiana
County Farrowed July 26, 1980,
the boar is out of Tip Top Moscelle,
sired by New Life.
The reserve champion boar was
a Yorkshire shown by LeAnn
Yorkshire Farm, R 7 Lebanon
Among the open gilts, Landrace,
exhibited by Larry Baum, R 3,
