crop year will have an excellent
opportunity to see the latest in
farm machinery at the Third
Pennsylvania Farm Equipment
Exposition
According to State Agriculture
Secretary Penrose Hallowed, the
Exposition will be held March 5
through March 7 at the Farm Show
Complex in Harrisburg
This year’s theme is Progress
for Profits ”
The Exposition will feature
approximately 170 agricultural
exhibits This is the third year for
the Exposition which will also
feature livestock shows, and sales
and special events
“I hope that Pennsylvania
farmers will take time to attend
the Exposition, to see the latest in
agricultural equipment and
supplies, helping them turn
progress into profits,” Hallo well
said
“Special Exposition events in
clude the First Spring Classic Goat
Show, sponsored by the Blue
Mountain Dairy Goat Association,
Thursday, March 5 at 9 30 a rn
The show, in the West Building of
the complex, will offer $1,242 in
premiums.

HARRISBURG - The Second
Annual Keystone Classic All
Breeds Swine Show and Sale will
be held March 6 and 7 at the Farm
Show Complex in Harrisburg
The show and sale will be held in
conjunction with the 1981 Penn
sylvania Farm Eouipment Ex
position, March 5 to 7
The Keystone Classic features
entries from all eight major
breeds Breeds at the show & sale
include Yorkshire, Duroc, Hamp
shire, Spotted Swine, Polland
China, Berkshire, Landrace and
Chester White swine
Entries have increased
dramatically, with 97 head con
signed for sale. The sale will
provide purebred and commercial
hog producers with a fine op
portunity to purchase excellent
replacements or additions to their
herds
The show begins Friday, March
6 at 9 a m in the small arena of the
Farm Show Building
Bred gilts, boars and open gilts
will be shown by age Classes tor
bred gilts ate February 1, 1980
through August 80,1980 Boars and
open gilts will be shown in classes
ranging from June 1, 1980 thiough
August 81,1981
The Keystone Classic Swine Sale
is scheduled for Saturday, March 7
beginning at 11 a in in the small
arena Show and sale catalogs are

5,500 pound pull, Ipm the 9000
pound pull, 4pm the 13,000 pound
pull and at 7 p m the top 10
finalists from the day’s pull will
compete for the championship
title
A total of $3,000 will be offered in
this contest Stock Tractor Pulls
continue Friday at 10 a m with the
7500 pound class
At 1 p m , the 11,000 pound class
will compete and at 4 p m the
15,000 pound class will pull
At 7 p m the championship pull,
featuring the top ten finalists from
Friday’s competition will compete
for champion puller
