during Christmas time. The new
programs were handed out for 1981
and reviewed

the home of Mrs. Raymond Dixon,
Village of Old Hickory. Fifteen
members and one guest attended
The president, Mrs Lucy Miller,
presided at the business meeting
A monetary gift will be donated
to Conestoga Cottage
Ida Kunkle and Eve Gettle gave
reports of the state convention
The March meeting will be held
at the home of Mrs Susie Dietnck,

bulance service.
A memorial service was held for
Mary Miller, Lillie Forbes, and
Adeline Edwards, all of whom died
in December.

gave reports on the convention at
Harrisburg
Mrs. Ann Klemstine was a
visitor at the meeting
The Legion Diner in Oley was the
location for the February 11
meeting of Berks Farm Women 1.
Final plans were completed for
the group trip to the “Three Little
Bakers” to see Oklahoma on
February 20. The bus will leave
Aimtyville United Church of Christ

Women 2 was held in the Shar
tlesville home of Mae Fry.
Helen Eblmg was accepted as a
new member. The by-laws were
read
Gloria Christman’s valentine
was judged the prettiest in the
valentine judging contest
The eight women attending the
meeting sampled cherry desserts
the women brought to the meeting.
Group 12 will participate in a
craft and bake sale to be held April
3 and 4 at the Fairground Square
Mall All proceeds will go to the 4-H
building fund.
The next meeting will be held at
the Bernville R 3 home of Sally
Stemhauer, March 9 at 8 00 p.m.
Dons Bennethum will give a
Tupperware demonstration at the
meeting to raise money for the
group. Anyone wishing to order
Tupperware can do so by con
tacting any of the women in the
group
Everyone is to wear something
green at the next meeting in honor
of St. Patrick's Day

to York Rescue Mission and $2O to
the March of Dimes
Mrs. Barbara Linneman,
director of the York County March
of Dimes, showed a film of the 1980
Poster Child and told of her work
with the foundation
Mrs. Romame Trout and Mrs.
Charles Gable gave a report on the
state convention in Harrisburg

topic for discussion when Adams
County Extension Agent Thomas
E Piper appears on WGAL-TV,
Lancaster, about 1215 p.m

Piper will emphasize the im
portance of including the soil name
on the soil test information sheet
and describe changes in the Penn
State Soil Testing program which
became effective in January 1981
