Service have walked over, map
ped, and classified the soil on 97
percent of the land in Penn
sylvania.
SCS State Soil Scientist Art Kuhl
reports 426,580 acres of land were
soil surveyed in 1980. The soil
survey is part of the technical
assistance provided by SCS.

The completed maps and
laboratory tests with in
terpretations are published on a
county basis as a sod survey

A total of 30 counties have
published soil survey reports.

process of publishing a county soil
