Jr. beef champs awarded at Farm Show
FARM SHOW - Lan
caster County’s Fritz Frey
continued his winning streak
at this year’s Pennsylvania
Farm Show by taking the
Junior Beef Breeding grand
championship with his
Angus heifer Twin Oak Rev
Barb on Thursday.
The heifer was also grand
champion of the Open Angus
Show the previous day
York County’s Christine
Shive, Seven Valleys,
followed Frey in the junior
yearling Angus heifer class,
and led her prize-winning
heifer, BV Pinkie Pride, to
the reserve grand cham
pionship of the Junior show.
In the Junior Charolais
Beef Breeding Show, two
sisters from Washington
County exhibited the grand
and reserve grand females.
Nine-year-old Carla
Clutter, of R 1 Prosperity, led
her junior yearling entry,
RCC Ms Polled Star 2832, to
the grand championship.
Older sister Crystal
Clutter, 11, came in reserve
Lancaster County's Fritz Frey exhibited the grand champion Angus heifer in
the Junior show.
Robert Livingston, Dover, York County, showed
the reserve grand champion Polled Hereford
heifer in the Junior breeding competition.

petition, ten-year-old John
Hausner of Dover, York
County, showed the grand
champion Junior heifer, SCH
Miss Trustee, the first place
junior yearling.
Hausner has been showing
cattle with his parents, John
and Joanne Hausner, owners
of JDH Polled Herefords,
since he was five-years-old.
According to his mother,
John’s first time in the show
ring was a rewarding ex
perience. He exhibited the
grand champion heifer at the
York Fair’s Open Polled
Hereford Show. And at last
year’s York Fair, his
Trustee heifer was tagged
reserve grand champion
This year’s Farm Show
reserve grand champion
female in the Hereford
Division went to Robert
