Ladies entered the holiday
mood by singing Christmas
carols “Love Letters from
Jesus” was ready by Mae
Holser.

mittees were read.
Discussion centered on good
merits of members of Farm
Women
Louella Low spoke on
quilting A quilt will be made
by society members
Games were played and
Betty Geib, Elsie Witmer
and Vivian Herneisen won
prizes.
The January meeting will
be held at Salem Methodist
Church in Manheim.

serve as hostess, and
Elizabeth Degler, co
hostess. Edna Loose of
Penryn is the newsreporter.

Farm Women 8 met at the
home of Vera Frey,
Marietta, December 20, at
6:30 p.m. Husbands and
friends were entertained at
the Christmas Party. Forty
one people attended
Kathryn Heisey had charge
of activities.
Eight members ac
companied another group to
Longwood Gardens on Dec.
12. They enjoyed the colorful
lights, the many pomsettias
and the musical presentation
held there.
Some members went to
Conestoga View to bring
cheer to folks there before
Christmas.
Hostesses were Vera Frey,
Margaret Heisey and Agnes
Houseal. Lovely handmade
favors were given to each
one Martin Musser and
Anna Mae Derr received
door prizes.
Ariine Witman and
Margaret Heisey will go as
delegates to the Convention
in January.
The January 17 meeting
will be held at the home of
Evelyn Russell, Mount Joy
at2p.m Convention Reports
will be given and an auction
will be held.

their annual Christmas
party for members and
husbands at Schaeffer’s
Restaurant, in Boyertown.
There were 12 members
present.
After the meal Mrs. Nancy
Gross invited everyone to
her home in EarlviUe to
exchange gifts and to enjoy
games.
The January meeting will
be a wine and cheese tasting
party, at the home of Mrs.
Joan Hafer, Douglassville.
