The awards were
presented at the
Association’s sixth annual
banquet, held at the Elco
Middle School. More than 130
members, friends, and
guests were on hand as
President Malcolm Sonnen
and Gerald Stridden an
nounced the winners in dairy
and milk production
Bennetch Brothers
received the first place
trophies for the top two-year
old record in both milk and
fat production They also
received a trophy for the
high three-year-old in milk.
Willow Maple Farm took
home two trophies for their
aged cow record in both milk
and fat production.
Other first place winners
were. Sonnen Acres, first
place three-year-old in fat;
Raymond Getz family, first
place four-year-old in milk;
and Kline Springs Farm,
first place four-year-old in
fat
In the crop production
categories, first place m
corn yield went to Raymond
R Weaver, with the trophy
for corn quality going to
Malcolm Sonnen. The
winners for corn silage in
1980 were Paul and Donald
Bollinger. John Bartsch won
the trophy for first place in
hay quality
