cow Guernsey herd and 30
Yorkshire sows.

of the 4-H swine club and the

hopes to continue DHIA

helping on the home farm,
then get married and share a
dairy farming business with
her husband.
But for right now, Abbe is
content with just earning the
Keystone Degree. As a
member of the Red Lion
Area FFA Chapter for three
years, Abbe has served on
such committees as.
Recreation, Earnings,
Saving and Investment,
Public Relations, Com
munity Service and
Leadership.
This 1979-80 chapter
president has had projects in
dairy foods and dairy
judging. In 1977, she earned
the Penn State Dairy
Judging Silver award. In
1978 it was the bronze award.
Abbe received a
scholarship award for three
years and the DeKalb Award
for one year.
She also has belonged to
the Airville 4-H milk and
money dairy club for nine
years She enjoys hunting,
reading and taking walks.
