member of the Midway

He plans to continue dairy
farming with his father and
work towards owning his
own operation

DENNIS FIDLER
Blue Mountain
High School
Dennis Fidler, son of
Stanley and Joan Fidler of
Pottsville, was selected as
one of Schuylkill County’s
Keystone Farmer Degree
recipients.
Dennis has been a member
of the Blue Mountain FFA
Chapter for four years and
has served as treasurer, vice
president and president.
Having handled such
projects as dairy cows and
calves, steers, Duroc pigs,
corn and bull calves, Dennis
has earned the Greenhand
Degree, the Chapter Farmer
Degree, the Dairy
Production Award and the
Diversified Livestock
Production Award
In the future, Dennis hopes
to “milk 70 head of cattle
with a herd average of 18,000
pounds of milk.”
KENT HEFFNER
Blue Mountain
High School
Kent Heffner, son of Mr
and Mrs. Ralph Heffner,

served on the parliamentary
procedure team, banquet
food and activities com

chapter chaplain and
treasurer, he has been
county reporter. Among his
awards have been those in
vegetable production and
crop production He received
gold and bronze medals for
his project book
