received the Keystone
Farmer Degree.
As the 18 year old son of
Nelson and Shirley Asper,
Kevin has been a member of
the Apple City FFA Chapter
for four years.
Various activities have
helped him achieve this
goal; the Star Greenhand
Degree, the Chapter Farmer
Degree, third place m the
Apple Judging Contest and
14th place m the County
Project Book Contest.

Doug has received the
Adams County Apple degree
and a Poultry Production
award.
He was also secretary
from 1978 to 1980, having
served this year as president
of his chapter.
Doug also enjoys playing
baseball in high school and
softball He is on the bowling
league, too.
Agriculture is the way
Doug says he plans to spend
his life A future in dairy is
the most likely prospect.
Doug’s parents are Robert
and Yvonne Kaltreider.
Gary Kauffman
GARY KAUFFMAN
Biglerville High School
Gary Kauffman of
Biglerville hopes to be able
to work with wildlife in the
future, hopefully in the
position of a game warden.
As a four year member of
the Apple City FFA Chapter,
Gary has been involved in
the Seed Committee, BOAC
Committee, Program for
Work Committee and the
SPCA Committee.
Also during his FFA years
he has received supervised
occupational experience and
sixth place in an apple
judging contest.
Gary enjoys football,
basketball and track and is a
member of the Varsity Club
and the Honor Society. He
also enjoys hunting and
trapping.

Terry Rex of Biglerville
hopes to attend meatcutting
school in his future. His work
on a farm has allowed him to
both follow this profession
and to earn the Keystone
Farmer Degree.

Jim Rodgers, 17, of Get
tysburg has received the
Keystone Degree for his
accomplishments in the
Apple City FFA Chapter.
Jim has participated in
such projects as dairy
production and a supervised
occupational experience. He
has served on the BOAC
committee, the seed com
mittee, and the National
FFA Foundation committee.
As an FFA member for
three years, Jim has
received awards in dairy
production, a gold award in
the State Project Book, and
the Adams County Apple
Degree. He has been
treasurer, vice president
and reporter for his chapter
and his county.
When he’s not busy in high
school sports, Jim is
collecting stamps, hunting
and trapping.
In the future this degree
recipient hopes to work on
the farm with his father.
