Mark Eager MARK EAGER Solanco High School Mark Eager, son of Roy and Betty Eager has been named a Keystone Farmer for his achievements in the Solanco FFA Chapter As a four year member, Mark has had projects in corn, dairy, veal calves, and work experience with his father He also participated on the Earnings and Savings Committee and the Leadership Committee Mark served as past chapter treasurer and still °nj( s wrestling for his school. His likes also include fishing and hunting In the future Mark hopes to be a dairy farmer DWIGHT HERR Solanco High School Dwight Herr of Quar ryville has been a member of the Solanco FFA Chapter for four years During those years he has been involved in various projects in beef finishing and corn. The son of Donald and Dons Herr, Dwight currently serves as vice president of his FFA chapter. In 1979 he served as chapter sentinel. In the future, Dwight hopes to go into farming with his father Dwight spends his spare time playing outdoor sports and participating in ac tivities by the 4-H beef club and the youth group at the Mechanics Grove Mennomte Church. Douglas Hershberger DOUGLAS HERSHBERGER Solanco High School Douglas Hershberger of QuarryviUe plans to attend Penn State and major in dairy production He also hopes to eventually manage his own dairy operation or w ork in public relations of a farmer co-op The son of Robert and Martha Heishberger, Doug has been a member of the Solanco FFA Chapter for four y ears During that time he has worked mainly with registered Holstein cows and has grown ten acres of corn Doug is currently serving as president of his chapter In 1978 he placed as second individual nationally in the National Land Judging Contest He received second place m the 1980 State Public Speaking Contest Doug, vice president of the Lancaster County FFA, is also senior class president and Lancaster County Holstein Club president This Keystone Farmer enjoys playing trombone, singing, acting and working around the farm Jeffrey Keller JEFFREY KELLER Solanco Senior High School Jeffrey Keller of New Providence hopes to go into partnership with the dairy man for whom he currently works.
