4-H
(Continued from Page Cl 4)
for members under age 13
Usually all they have to do is
a project, then when they
reach their teen years they
lose interest So the 4-H
program at the national
level made more op
portunities for teens in 4-H
Now, at the county level,
we're trying to offer such
things to the younger kids
“One such event took
place in June Leaders and
teens set up a fun night for
the kids in New Danville We
featured games and prizes
and gave the kids a chance to
have a night of their own,”
Myers explained
According to Myers, a
brief description of the year
in review would go
something like this •
From June 10-13, sixteen
members from eight to
twelve years old journeyed
to Camp Nawakwa in Adams
County for a camping ex
pedition;
Also in June, 25 teen
members and leaders went
to Leadership Congress at
Penn State for one week Jay
Stauffer was selected to
y pi Jtc jg v ;he
Lebanon Fair. The one in the tub is Maxine Nolt, show director who sat in the tub
unwillingly.
