study, collect, make and save, then starting at the

some bottles for mom
Remove the label and paint flowers and leaves on with
fingernail polish Or
Crumble tiny pieces of egg shells Paint your bottle with
colored enamel and add the shells while the enamel is still
wet Or
Tear tiny pieces of freezer tape and cover the bottle
completely, overlapping the_ tape for special emphasis
Cover the tape with any color shoe polish to get an antique
look
To finish, put dried flowers in the bottle and surprise
mom

cookie recipes’
1/2 cup margarine
1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup enriched flour
1 cup finely chopped nuts
Cream margarine and add powdered sugar and vanilla
Add flour gradually then add nuts
Form cookies the size of little fingers
Bake at 370 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until lightly
browned when cool Roll in powderecLsugar

1 cup sugar
3/4 cup butter or lard
2 eggs
1 tablespoon water
21/8 cup sifted flour
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2/3 teaspoons raisins
2/3 cups chopped nuts
Cream together the sugar and shortening, add well
beaten eggs and water, flour sifted with salt, baking
powder and cinnamon Last of all the raisins and nuts,
well dusted with flour Mix thoroughly.
