The fed cattle trade followed a rather uneven pattern; prices advanced - moderately on the opening session as supplies were reduced by hazardous roads over the trade area. The early upturn was more than erased on later sessions, however, as marketings expanded and carcass trading turned bearish yield grade was again often the major price determining factor with best demand for consignments with a minimum of yield grade 4. Marketings were slightly larger than the previous week, but were somewhat better distributed over the trading period. The overall finish of the steer and heifer supply was mixed 34 and some carried a moderate amount of mud. Steers made up approximately 43 pet., heifers 31 pet., cows 9 pet. and feeders 15 pet.
