Two Maryland vets assume new posts ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Two Department of Agriculture veterinarians have been promoted to supervisory positions within the department. Dr. John Shook has been appointed Assistant Chief of the MDA Animal health Section and Dr. Jacob Casper has /been named Director of the MDA Animal Health Laboratory at Frederick. Since entering Maryland state service in 1971, Dr. Shook has supervised MDA programs at the Frederick Animal Health Laboratory.
