C24—Lancaster Farming, Saturday, December 6,1980 ALLENTOWN - The Grand Champion steer was exhibited by David Huff, Montgomery County, weighing 1215 pounds at the Bucks, Carbon, Lehigh, Montgomery and Nor thampton Eastern Penn sylvania 4-H Beef and Lamb Sale held last Saturday, at the Allentown Fairgounds. The buyer, M.G.F. Group- McDonald’s, Hotel Trailer, Allentown paid $2.25 per pound David Schultz, Nor thampton County, showed the Reserve Grand Cham pion steer weighing 1060 pounds and was sold for $2.00 per pound. The buyer was Donald Pharo, Route 1, Bethlehem. The Champion Light Weight steer weighing 1055 pounds sold for $l.OO per pound and was bought by Danny George of George’s Foodlmer, Bethlehem. The steer was exhibited by Joe Sikorski, Lehigh County. Jane Sikorski, Lehigh County, showed the Reserve Champion Light Weight steer, weighing 1055 pounds and was purchased by Marsteller Meats, Trexlertown, for 92 cents per pound. The Reserve Champion Medium Weight steer weighing 1080 pounds sold for 88 cents per pound and was bought by Hanng Brothers, Doylestown. The steer was exhibited by Jon Wetzel, Lehigh County. The Grand Champion individual lamb, weighing 133 pounds was sold at $3.70 per pound to Danny George, George’s Foodlmer It was owned by Joshua Grim, Lehigh County. The Grand Champion Pair of Lambs, exhibited by Ruth Grim, Lehigh County was purchase by Haftl Meats, Allentown. The Pair of Lambs weighed 228 pounds and was sold at $2.30 per pound. Joyce Paslo, Bucks County, showed the Reserve Grand Champion lamb and was sold to Danny George, George’s Foodlmer at $1 20 per pound The lamb weighed 114 pounds Grand champion steer at the 1980 Eastern Pennsylvania 4-H beef and lamb show was David Huff, Lafayette Hill, Montgomery County The animal was pur chased by Harold G. The Champion Light Weight lamb was purchsed by John Scholl, Perkasie for $l.OO per pound. The lamb weighed 92 pounds and was exhibited by David Samkavitz, Buck County. The Reserve Champion Light Weight lamb, weighing 91 pounds was sold at $l.OO per pound to Tim Landis, Mainland. It was owned by Ramona Wagner, Nor thampton County. The Champion Medium Weight lamb was purchased by DiTom Meats, Schnecksville for $1.30 per pound The lamb weighed 99 pounds and was exhibited by Ruth Grim, Lehigh County. The Reserve Champion Medium Weight lamb, weighing 100 pounds was sold at $lO5 per pound to Southeast Farm Credit Association, Silverdale It was owned by Marlyn Stroh, Lehigh County. The sale, as was the show on Friday, was conducted by the Agricultural Extension Service, with the County Agent of the five counties m charge. The auctioneer was Ralph Zettlemoyer.
