Two Pennsylvania agricultural leaders, John Washko, retired Penn State
agronomist, left and Charles Woigemuth, retired superintendent of Milton
Hershey School Farms, were named lifetime members of the Pennsylvania
Forage and Grassland Council at the organization’s recent 20th Anniversary
Conference in Hershey. At right is Kenneth Leath, council president and plant
pathologist with the USDA Regional Pasture Research Laboratory at Penn
State. Washko and Woigemuth, both past presidents of the Pennsylvania
council, were honored for a lifetime of service to the state's agricultural in
dustry. Lester Ray, retired manager of Rolling Rock Farms, Ligonier, also was
given a lifetime membership but was unable to attend.
