Gal produced 978 pounds of butterfat in the 305 day test period. John was also recognized as having the top two-year old record Machinery in fat. Jody’s record as a two-year old was 769 pounds offat. The 1980 Cumberland County DHIA High two year-old in milk award went to Roy Smoke, Rl, Shippensburg, whose 2-year old Olga produced 21,074 pounds of milk. Olga, who produced 21,074 pounds of milk. As of the Spring of 1980, The Cum berland County dairy in dustry has presented their program to over 18,000 students attending the 59 Elementary Schools in the nine school districts in the county. '■ Each student in kin dergarten to fifth grade in the nine school districts has an opportunity to hear a dairyman discuss the im portsmce of the dairy cow and the dairy farming for approximately 25 to 30 minutes.
