Maryland team placed fifth
in the 4-H division of judging
competition sponsored
recently by the National
Junior Horticultural
Association. This year’s
contest was held Nov 1 at
Atlanta, Ga., during the
forty-sixth annual con
vention of the NJHA
Leading scorer for the
Maryland team was Dennis
Heltzel, 17, of Lmwood, Md.,
who placed fourth m the
individual standings.

Having lost our bam to fire will sell:
54 Registered Holstein Cattle,’ 50 fresh or close, 4
bred for winter freshing. The herd has been milked in
stanchions and housed in a loose hohsing' system.
Presently shipping over 50 lbs. per cow perday.
These cattle have to be the most rugged, strong, and
good-uddered herd to be offered for some time. Dick
always used a bull on the herd, and purchased bulls
from Sugar Creek, Merry Air and other top herds in the
areaf Ed Hayton purchased six young cows from this
herd a year ago that have records from 17,000 to 24,000
of milk, and one is a “VG-88” first calf heifer. These
are exceptional cattle you’ll like when you see them.
Cattle are blood & TB tested and have shipping fever
mnoculations.
