Survey reveals for USDA HARRISBURG - In dividuals across the United States voiced a general support of existing, volun tary USDA programs, reports a spokesman for the Soil Conservation Service, a branch of the U.S. Depart ment of Agriculture. Through the Resources Conservation Act, more than 118,000 persons provided over one and one-half million comments on USDA programs. It gave the pubhc an opportunity to voice their opinions on the future programs of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, said the spokesman. I' According to the responses, Americans highly value the Nation’s soil, water, and related resources. The pubhc also said agencies could provide more technical assistance if the programs were more ef ficient.
