R.J. Rich of Burley, Idaho,
who serves as chairman of
the board of the NWGA, said
the concerns of sheepmen go
far beyond the traditional
coyote problems. “We’re
concerned about the diet
health controversy as it
relates to the consumption of
lamb,” he said. Rich also
stressed that the renewal of
the Wool Act is a legislative
priority for 1961, as is import
relief.
“We’U be discussing these
issues and trying to evaluate
their impact on our present
growth trend,” Rich said.
A post convention cruise
on a paddle-wheeler from
New Orleans will round out
the 116th meeting agenda.
