Cl6—Lancaster Farming, Saturday, November 22,1980 Hunterdon County honors dairy 4-H members FELMINGTON, N.J. - Over 60 people attended the Hunterdon County 4-H Dairy Achievement Dinner held last Friday at the Extension Center, Flemmgton. Emceeing the program were Gretchen Kuehn of Flemmgton and Robert Hoffman of Cahfon. Awards were presented to Top FFA degrees conferred Phil Shertzer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Shertzer, R 2, Lancaster, is awarded his American Farmer degree in Kansas City. Need a farm loan? Mark Douglass of Pittstown received the Alumni Recognition Award These awards were presented at the 4-H Achievement Dinner held last month. Receiving the top Holstein Award was Gretchen Kuehn. The second place winner was Hope Atkinson. Third place went to Jeff Nelson All three winners received checks from the Central Jersey Holstein Assoc. The recipient of the All- Round Brown Swiss Award was Robert Hoffman. A report on the Maryland Dairy Conference held m October, was given by Charles Fisher of Stockton. Fisher was one of five New Jersey delegates to attend the conference. Mark Douglass chaperoned the group at the conference. Awards sponsored by the Hunterdon County Milk Producers Fund were received by: Gretchen Kuehn, Best Growing Record Book, Tracy Beatty of Asbury, runnerup. Awards were also presented to Tom Hoffman and Jeff Nelson for 9 months and to Lisa Hoffman for 7 months.
