Lancaster Co, Society 4 Lancaster Farm Women 4 met at the home of Mrs. William Campbell, Millersville, October 25. Officers for the new year were elected. They are president, Mrs. Charles Shellenberger, vice president, Alice Nissley, secretary, Mrs. Henry Reist; treasurer, Mrs. Robert Garber; delegates, Mrs. John Mellmger and Mrs. Cyrus Gamble, alternate, Mrs. Richard King. Lancaster Co. Society 6 Farm Women 6 were entertained by Eva Parrett and Martha Eshelman, Saturday. For roll call members were asked to suggest program materials for 1981 The treasurer reported $292.50 as a profit from the member’s food stand Members discussed plans for Christmas giving locally. The date for Society 6 to go to Conestoga View to en tertain is November 20. A "carry in” Christmas dinner will be served to members, husbands and friends on December 6 at the Elizabethtown Church of the Brethren. Lancaster Co. Society 7 Lancaster Farm Women 7 met in the social rooms of Leacock Presbyterian Church in Paradise with hostesses Mrs Frances Eshleman, Mrs. Betty Wenger, Mrs. Alyce Weaver and Mrs Miriam Beame. Miriam Keneagy, president, presided over the meeting The group will visit the county home, November 20, to entertain the guests. The society was en tertained by a vocal group from Grandview Heights Methodist Church. The next meeting will be held December 13 at the home of Mary Usner of Gap. Lancaster Co. Society 17 Lancaster Farm Women 17 met November 6 with Mrs Kathryn Pollock Sixteen members were present and answered roll call with “a Thanksgiving I remember most ” A donation was made to retarded citizens association. An auction of plants, food and handiwork was held among the members. The next meeting will be a covered-dish Christmas Air Sprayer Party to be held at Chestnut Level Church House on December 6at 6:30 p.m. Lancaster Co. Society 19 Farm Womeniy met at the home of hostess Becky Harmsh, Saturday. Twenty eight members were served a dessert course as they arrived Each member answered roll call with "Something or someone you are thankful for ” Vice president Wilma Boyd introduced guest speaker, Mary Dickason who presented a slide presentation, "The Desert Shall Blossom As A Rose.” Society 19 received an award for having the highest precentage of members present at the county con vention. Delegates to the state convention will be Betty Saylor and Millie Eshleman. A cookies and recipe ex change was the closing feature of the afternoon. York Co. Society Board Meeting The profit from the Berks County Farm Women Shoo Fly Project at the Reading Fair was reported at $1,120.05. A motion was carried to refund $4.50 for the meal for returned county convention tickets. The hoedown will be held April 18 with music by the Majesties they are thankful. The group will hold their next meeting in the form of a Christmas party at the Grandview Golf Club, Saturday, December 6 at the noon and will donate $50.00 to the Cerebral Palsy Fund The next bus trip, on May 19, will be to Inner Harbor and other interesting places in Baltimore.
