LANCASTER A new
senes of loaders with some
first-time-ever features has
been introduced to the farm
market by John Deere. The
first of these new 200 Senes
Loaders, numbered the 250,
is arriving on dealers’ lots
this month.
The 260 is a high-profile
loader that makes it
compatible with Deere front
wheel-dnve tractors, from
80 to 130 hp. There is-plenty
of front-axle clearance so
farmers can take full ad
vantage of front-wheel-dnve
traction in muddy feedlots
and elsewhere.
A first-time-ever feature
for an agncultural loader
self-leveling is available

Once the bucket angle is set
to hold maximum load,
special linkages on each
boom arm will maintain that
bucket angle as the load is
raised. Self-leveling will help
reduce spills, especially
when working with sloppy
manure or loose materials
And it’s quite useful for
handling pallets.
The new loader design has
made mountmg/demountmg
a “no tools needed”
operation that takes just a
few minutes. Once parking
stands are down, two puis
are pulled to disconnect the
loader arms from the
mounting frame. Then
hydraulics are unhooked,
and the tractor is free
