Farm Show will be held
Sunday through Friday, next
January 11-16.

Secretary Penrose Hallowell
said the theme of the 1981
Farm Show will be “Penn
sylvania Agriculture - We’re
Growing Better,” in
recognition of the tremen
dous stride being made by
the state’s farm and
agribusiness industries.
“Last year, Mrs. Gmny
Thornburgh unveiled the
‘Pennsylvania Agriculture -
We’re Growing Better’ logo
at the Farm Show,” he said
“This year, we want to give
the public an example of the
strength of Pennsylvania
Introduces Self-feeder

Nearly one million Penn
sylvanians hold jobs which
are agriculture-related.
“Pennsylvania is the
agricultural leader of the
northeast, not only m the
value of products produced
on our farms, but in the
important foods system
industries which are
responsible for processing,
packing, transporting,
wholesaling and retailing
food for the entire east
coast,” he said.
The Farm Show officially
will open at 1 p.m. on Sun
day, January 11 with grand
opening ceremonies in the
hole models. Farmer Boy
Products, R 1 Box 1270,
large arena ot the Farm
Show complex on North
Cameron Street in
Harrisburg. While the show
hours are from noon until 6
p.m. on Sunday, the door will
be open from 8 a.m. until 9
p.m. Monday through
Thursday of the show. The
Farm Show closes Friday
afternoon at 4 p.m. following
the traditional auction of
junior market lambs, swine
and beefs.

shown a steady growth since
its beginning in 1917,"
