DlG—Lancaster Farming, Saturday, November 1,1980 Montgomery Co. holds achievement night KULPSVILLE - Mon tgomery County 4-H members and leaders were recognized for their con tributions and ac complishments at the annual county-wide 4-H Achievement Night held recently at the Kulpsville Holiday Inn. The awards f or Out standing 4-H Boy and Girl for 1980 were presented to Mary Pat McGann of Maple Glen and Enc Jones of Schwenksville. Commissioner Rita Banning, representing the Montgomery County Commissioners Office, made the presentation and challenged the 4-H members to continue their con tributions to 4-H and their communities. Receiving the “I Dare You” Award for leadership and personal development were Cathy Rankin, Maple Glen; Jeanne Underland, Philadelphia; and Marcia Slate, Penomenville. Presenting the award was Mr. Ted Lambert, President of the Norristown Kiwams Club which also sponsors the 4-H members year puis. Nancy Kadwill, 4-H Coordinator, and Renee Burgess, Summer 4-H Assistant, presented cer tificates to members who participated in the State 4-H Horse and Dairy Shows, Capitol Days, Citizenship Shortcourse, and the P.A.F.C. and A.I.C. National Cooperatives Institute. Helame Brown, 4-H Agent, recognized 4-H’ers for their involvement in Leadership Congress, Regional & State Fashion Shows, Camp Counselor Program and Teen Leadership. A short presentation on “4- 4-H dog club invites members NORRISTOWN - The newly formed 4-H Canine Club invites any youth ages 8-19 to attend its next meeting to be held Friday, November 14,7:30 p.m at the Trappe Grange Hall located on Route 422 in Trappe. The club is open to all young people interested in learning about dogs. Throughout the year topics such as handling, feeding and health care will be covered. Learning to judge dogs, basic obedience and veterinary care will also be part of this program. Members will have the chance to travel to shows, kennels, vet clinics and many other interesting places according to Jeff Rogavan of Collegeville who will serve as advisor to the club.
