A 2087 HARVESTORE* Structure for Haylage and a 2042 Structure for High
Moisture Corn, erected this summer with an expandable 4219 SLURRYSTORE, built
in 1979. Bob raises 155 acres of corn and 35 acres of alfalfa. His 55 cows are milked
three times a day in a newly remodeled tie-stall barn. Total mix ration is fed on the
bunk and in the barn.

Raises 100 acres of corn, 35 acres of alfalfa, 30 acres of rye double-cropped and
20 acres of double-cropped wheat. Their first HARVESTORE* Structure was an
expandable 2038 for High Moisture Corn erected in October, 1979. Their 2059
Haylage Unit was erected in April of this year. Marvin milks in a tie-stall barn. Part of
the herd is housed in a free-stall barn. Total mix ration is fed on the bunk and top
dress feed in the barn according to production.
STOP #3: J. FLOYD & BARRY KREIDER, R.D. #3, MOUNT JOY, PA.
Kreiders milk in a tie-stall barn equipped with a pipeline milking system. Total mix
ration is fed in the barn and on the bunk. They raise 200 acres of corn and 50 acres
alfalfa. Two expandable HARVESTORE® Structures, a 2041 for High Moisture Corn
and a 2068 for Haylage, were erected in 1979. The Kreiders are spending far less of
their milk check on purchased feed.
