N.H. and reflect trading prices for gradable nest run eggs
(GNR) on Ed, a nationwide trading center for producers,
packers and marketers. GNR eggs are classified by weight in
30-dozen cases, and traded in lots of either 300 or 750 cases.
Prices are FOB buyers dock, and are computed Tuesday and
Thursday of each week. This week’s prices for each

week’s close Slaughter
steers finished the week 1.00
to 1.50 lower. Heifers .50 to
1.00, instances 1.50 lower.
Cows sold steady to 1.00
higher. Bulls remained
steady. Slaughter Cattle
prices followed the
early week’s downward
trend in beef carcass
trading with consignments
containing a large portion of
yield grade 4 under extreme
pressure. Majority of
week’s supply was 45%
Steers, 50% Heifers and
Cows and Bulls making up
the remainder. Receipts
this week were about 3000,
last week 3100 and 2967 a
year ago.
