This was followed by an election of officers for 1981. They are: Janet Kutz, president; Katie Whistler, vice president; Joyce Wardle, recording secretary; Joyce Bixler, corresponding secretary; Corrme Otto, treasurer. After adjournment, our hostess Joyce Wardle showed us a film on how to accept and treat blind people. October’s meeting will be held on October 23 at the home of Martee Mentzer, Carlisle. Cumberland Co, Society 20 Cumberland Society 20 met September 17 at the home of Betty Wood, Boiling Springs. A weiner roast and picnic were held before the meeting. The county convention in November was discussed. Group 20 and 2 other groups will make the favors for the convention. Group 20 will make their share of the favors at the next meeting m October. Fmal plans for an upcoming trip were also made. On September 23, nine members traveled by car to Delaware Water Gap. They met Mrs. Shirley Albright, a geologist for the New Jersey State Museum, who was their guide for the next two days. Mrs. Albright is the daughter of Mrs. Beatrice Strock, one of Group 20’s members. They visited Dmgman Falls and Silver Thread Falls. A long walk was taken through Peters Valley Craft Village m New Jersey. On Tuesday night they went to the New Jersey Museum Research Station near Walpack Center. Wednesday morning, Mrs. Albright took the group to look for fossils. Lancaster Co . Progress is being made on the quilt which the society is making. The county convention will be held on November 1. Plans were also made for the bus trip on October 14. Society 10 will meet at the home of Bernita Gilbert and discuss energy con servation. Cumberland Co. Society 15 will' meet at the home of Janet Kutz for election of officers. Lancaster Co. Society 15 will meet at the home of Elma Maule at 1 p.m. for a United Way slide presentation. Saturday, October 18 Lancaster Co.
