The reserve grand
champion from the Witmer
herd was Lan Lebco Gemini
Sunlite, who took the four
year-old class and the
reserve senior honors.
The Witmers also took the
top spots in three-year-olds,
best udder with that cow,
dam and daughter with the
aged cow and senior calf and
the senior get-of-sire by Tiho
Kit Builder.
It was the first show of the
year for the Witmers. Two
years ago, Lamar showed
the grand champion at the
show, a foar-year-old. He
since sold that herd and
started a new group.
The junior champion, a
senior yearling, was shown
by John Zimmerman, 19, of
Rl, Ephrata. The reserve
junior champion, a junior
heifer calf, was exhibited by
David Landis.
Honors in the Ayrshire
competition went to Debbie
Weaver and in the Brown
Swiss judging to Kerry
Boyd.

folk, won the grand cham
pionship honors of the sheep
show at the Manheun
Community Farm Show
Thursday for 17-year-old
Jim Stauffer, senior at Penn
Manor High School.
The reserve grand
championship honors also
came to Jim with a market
lamb that came out of the
lightweight competition in
the Hampshire judging.
Jim also swept the top sale
lamb honors in the
heavyweight category,
taking both the champion
and reserve honors.
Son of Mr. and Mrs. Jay
Stauffer, 345 Weaver Road,
Lancaster, Jim showed the
champion Suffolk ram at the
Lampeter fair earlier this
year and had the reserve
champion in medium
lightweight Hampshire
competition at the Penn
sylvania Farm Show last
year.
