Secretary Penrose Hallowell
announced that the
Agriculture Department has
found no evidence of cloud
seeding in Central Penn
sylvania.
Hallowell said, “Our ef
forts have uncovered no
evidence which would
suggest cloud seeding is
being conducted in Adams or
Franklin Counties. We have
attempted to follow up on
York County dairymen
to elect co-op director
NEW PARK - It’s an
election year in Maryland
Cooperative Milk Producers’
District 7 and the members
of that area will hold their
annual membership meeting
Monday, Oct. 13 at the
Centre Presbyterian Church
Educational Building in New
Park.
The 107 member
producers will nominate a
director to be ratified by the
total membership at the
cooperative’s annual
meeting in March, for a
three year term from March
1981 through February 1964.
Leroy R. Bupp of Seven
Valleys, is the incumbent
director whose term expires
in February 1981.

Delaware Department of
Agriculture’s experimental
Cloud Seeding Program. He
said they assured the
Pennsylvania Department of
Agriculture that airplanes
involved in the Delaware
program never fly into
Pennsylvania air space.
The Delaware Cloud
Seeding pilot project is
aimed at increasing the
duration of rainfall and the
area over which rains falls.
The University of Delaware
is evaluating the results of
this program, but officials
have determined that at
least five years of ob
servation will be necessary
to fully determine whether
the project issuccessful.
Results of the program to
date are incomplete.
Contacts with state
government officials in
Maryland and West Virginia
also failed to uncover any
ongoing cloud seeding
programs.
Hallowell said the
Africulture Department
would continue to work with
the farmers in Adams
County and would insist on
immediate action to in
vestigate any further
complaints.
“The Bureau of Criminal
Investigation in the State
Police has the primary
responsibility to investigate

made to provide proper
investigative liaison with
this Bureau and with the
State Bureau of Aviation. ’ ’

boring Maryland.
The Maryland Depart
