sylvania exhibitors took
home championships in the
Keystone International
Livestock Exposition, held
here at the Farm Show
Complex last week, in both
the Shropshire and Ram
bouillet. breeding sheep
shows.
William E. Yoder of
Kutztown went home to his
Berks County farm with the
champion Shropshire ewe.
This was WEY Shrops first
year in competition at KILE.
The WEY ewe, R. Stokes
Earn. 228, was the first place
The champion Dorset ram was exhibited by
Birchwood Farm, Hinckley, Illinois. Showing the
yearling ram is Buster Wilson, Rural Retreat, VA.
Also pictured are the New Jersey Dorset Queen
Linda Roever and Judge Gary Ricketts from the
University of Illinois.
Jagger Brothers, Mt. Gilead, Ohio. Showing the
spring ewe lamb is Diane Burke, Glenville, West
Virginia.
William E. Yoder of WEY Shrops, Kutztown,
exhibited the champion ewe in the Shropshire
Breeding Sheep Show at the 24th Keystone In
ternational Livestock Expo.

In the Rambouillet
competition, Bradford
County’s Kenneth T. Moore
captured both the ewe and
ram championships with his
entires. The champion ram
was Moore’s fall lamb, and
the champion ewe was his
yearling entry.
Moore was the Premier
Exhibitor of the Monday
afternoon show. He had the
first {dace exhibitors flock,
take breeding sheep champions
along with both reserve
championships for his
yearling ram and fall ewe
lamb.
Moore also exhibited the
reserve champion Cheviot
ram in Friday’s Cheviot
Breeding Sheep Show. The'
ram was the second place
spring lamb and stood
behind the show’s grand
champion.

York County’s Lisa Dobrosky, the National Southdown Queen, was on hand at
KILE for the presentation of the Champion Southdown Ewe ribbon. Dick Matlack
showed the ewe for Jagger Brothers of Mt. Gilead, Ohio.
The champion Rambouillet ewe was exhibited by Kenneth T. Moore, R 2
Nichols, N.Y. Moore swept the championships in both the ram and ewe classes
and was named premier exhibitor.
