CREAMY RICE PUDDING
1/2 cup uncooked rice
1/4 teaspoon salt
a pinch of nutmeg
2 cups milk
1/2 cup sugar
Put all ingredients in sausepan. Simmer slowly for 1
hour.
AUTUMN PUDDING
Sauce:
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 cups water
1/4 cup butter
Boil together 2 minutes
Blend together (will be thick)
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup butter
21/2 teaspoons baking powder
11/3 cups flour and 1/2 cup milk
Dice 11/4 cups apples or more and fold apples in flour
mixture. Pour sauce in low flat pan. Drop batter into
sauce. Bake at3so* for3o-35 minutes.
IMPOSSIBLE PIE
1/2 cup biscuit mix
3 eggs
2 cups milk
3/4cups sugar
1/4 lb. butter
(For a double batter, don’t double the butter)
1 teaspoon vanilla
Mix all of these in blender for 1 minute. Pour into
greased 10 inch pie dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake at
350* for 45 minutes. For a double portion, bake 1 hour.
