Lisa Drobrosky
Health
The daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Anthony Dobrosky,
Lisa is a senior at the
Susquehannock High School.
She has been a 4-H member
for nine years.
A member of the Glen
Rock 4-H dub and York
County 4-H Lamb dub, she
served as president, teen
leader, vice president, news
reporter, secretary,
treasurer, game and song
leader.
The state health contest
winner completed projects
in health, lamb feeding and
breeding, teen leadership,
quilling, handyman, sewing,
foods and nutrition, and
meats.
Locally, she took part in 4-
H county council, demon
stration night, 4-H fair,
Rural Life Sunday, ex
change program, and of
ficerstraining.
Lisa also participated in
the Regional 4-H Demon
stration Contest, District 4-H
Camp, PAFC Institute,
Regional 4-H Teen Leaders
Retreat, Pennsylvania 4-H
Leadership Congress, State
4-H Achievement Days,
Livestock Field Day, and
National Meats Judging
Contest. She was York
County’s Outstanding 4-H
Girl and 4-H Queen.
“Through projects, at
tending events, and working
with groups and individuals,
I’ve gained endless
knowledge, skills, and ex
perience,” points out lisa.
Carol Haskins
Forestry
The daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. David Haskins, Carol is
a senior at the Spring Grove
Area High School. She has
been a 4-H member for nine
years.
A member, of the
Thomasville 4-H dub, she
served as president,
treasurer, song leader, and
news reporter. She also
assisted with dub activities
and events as a teen leader.
The state forestry contest
winner completed projects
in forestry, dothing, foods
and nutrition, stamp
collecting, electric, flowers,
andriflery.
Locally, Cam Look pcu i m
the 4-H roundup, fair,
demonstration contest,
fashion revue, day camp,
and achievement night.
She also participated in
Regional 4-H Fashion
Revue, District 4-H Camp,
Regional 4-H Judging
Contest, State 4-H Capital
Days, State 4-H
Achievement Days', Youth
Forestry Camp, Farm Show
and Pennsylvania Junior
Horticulture Association.
She was Regional 4-H Dress
Revue semi-finalist.
Commenting on the values
of the educational youth
program. Carol said: “One
of the most beneficial things
4-H has given me is the
confidence I have gained in
front of large groups. It has
given me a chance to meet
many people.”

Jonathan Miller
Automotive
The son of Mr. and Mrs.
Ray Miller, Jonathan is a
freshman at Penn State. He
has been a 4-H member for
10years.
A member of five York
County 4-H Clubs, Jonathan
served as president, vice
president, and teen leader.
The state automotive
contest winner completed
projects in automotive,
tractor maintenance,
bicycling, small: engines,
daily, lambs, meats, and
teen leadership.
Locally, he took part in 4-H
day camp, county council,
meats judging, demon
stration day, officers
training, and fair.
Jonathan also participated
in District 4-H Camp, State 4-
H Capital Days, State 4-H
Achievement Days, Penn
sylvania 4-H Leadership
Congress, and National
Meats Judging Contest. He
was York County’s 4-H King
in 1978-79.

Bryan Palmer
Safety
The son of Mr. and Mrs.
Glenn Palmer, Bryan is a
junior at the Susquehannock
High School. He has beena 4
H member for eight years.
A member of three York
County 4H Clubs, he served
as president, vice president,
treasurer, song leader, news
reporter, game leader, and
teen leader.
The state safety contest
winner completed projects
in safety, electric, small
engines, archery, hor
ticulture, bicycling,
rocketry, automotive,
tractor, photography, and
teen leadership.
Locally he took part in 4H
day camp, demonstration
day, officers training/teen
leaders banquet, exchange
program and 4H fair.
Bryan also participated in
District 4-H Camp, Regional
4-H Teen Leaders Retreat,
Regional 4-H Demonstration
Day, State 4-H Capital Days,
Junior Horticulture
Association, State 4-H
Achievement Days, and
Pennsylvania 4-H Leader
ship Congress. He was York
County’s 4-H King and won a'
national gardening award.
