Linda Martin, a member of the Red Rose 4-H Club, showed her 1260 pound
Angus x Chianina cross to the Grand Championship of the Ephrata Steer Show
Thursday night. Linda, who resides at R 1 Narvon, is a 10-year member of the
4-H Club.
Judy Zimmerman, R 1 Ephrata, showed her 1110 pound steer to the blue rib
bon in the medium weight division. Later in the show Judy also took top
showmanship honors in the senior division.

Gehman, R 2 Stevens, had no reason to be shy as it
won the blue ribbon in the lightweight division in
the Ephrata Steer Show.

Linda’s in the Heavyweight
class.
Also a member of the Red
Rose 4-H Club, Pam is the
daughter of State
Representative Noah
Wenger who sits on the
House Ag Committee.
Third place in the
Heavyweight division went
to last year’s grand
champion Darlene Huyard,
Lancaster. •*
In the light Heavyweight
division, first place went to
Scott Augsburger, R 2
Reinholds; second to Tony
Eberly, R 2 Denver; and
third to Jay Reiff, Lititz.
Tops in the Medium
Weight class was Judy
Zimmerman, R 1 Ephrata;
second, Emily Weaver, R 1
Ephrata;*and third, Galen
Sauder, R 2 Ephrata.
Lightweight division
winner was Marcy t Gehman,
R 2 Stevens. Second place
went to Judy Zimmerman,
. who showed both as a 4-H’er
and an FFA member. Third
went to Steve Fox, R 2
Ephrata.
Grand Champion Fitter at
the show was Fred Weaver,
R 1 Ephrata.
In the senior showmanship
category first place went to
Judy Zimmerman, followed
by Tony Eberly and Linda
Martin. Eberly took the
fitting honors.
In the Ages 12 to 14 class,
Jay Reiff took the
showmanship title, followed
by Steve Fox and Emily
