Claude Silva of Turlock, California, President of * U.E.P., will be attending all of the sessions,, while Douglas Hoffer of Warsaw, Indiana, is slated to address the Annual Banquet on the evening of October 2nd. Hoffer is sales manager of the well known Creighton Brothers egg operation at Warsaw and is Vice President of a wholly owned subsidiary, Crystal /Lake Egg Products, Inc. His industry activities include Past Chairman of the Indiana Egg Council, past president of the Indiana State Poultry Association. He is currently serving a second three-year term on the Indiana Egg Board. He is a past director of American Egg Board, past president of Douglas Hoffer Mid-West Egg Producers and an alternate delegate to NCEN. In five years as a UEP director, Hoffer has moved up to chairmanship of UEP’s Government Relations Committee and is currently second vice president of UEP. When he speaks to the Nema group, Hoffer will be drawing upon, 25 years of experience at Creighton Brothers, beginning with part time flock work in his high school years and subsequent broad ex perience in hatching work, egg production and egg processing. “I would like to emphasize the opportunities that Nema’s Hershey meeting brings to Northeastern poultrymen,” Rent con tinued. “You will meet UEP and Nema staff people who ♦ Peabody Gallon Telescopic Hoists..
