disaster payments

American Soybean
Association has told
congressional leaders it does
not oppose a disaster
payment program for
soybean growers.
‘ ‘Soybean growers deserve
some protection from
disasters such as the current
drought which has severely
injured much of the 1980
soybean crop m the South
and Midwest” said ASA
President Frank Ray of

“We do support a soybean
disaster payment program if
it can be designed without
the need for soybean target
