SELLING FIRST A COLLECTION OF 18th, 19th and 20th CENTURY TOOLS.
Planes of many types—plow planes, rabbet planes, moulding planes, block, jack and
smooth planes. A goodly number of these planes are marked, and most are in ex
cellent condition with blades up to 3” wide. Two outstanding BRASS BOUND
BRACES: one marked T.E. Wells (1850-1853), the other marked Booth & Mills
(1855-1869) as described in Sept. 1974 issue of Early American Industries. Also a few
other early braces to be sold. 18th Century Cooper’s hatchet marked SMITH
TILLMGLY-J. CHOLLAR. Broad axe and additional early hatchets. Numerous sign
ed draw knives and a selection of spoke shaves. A couple frame or bow saws including
a fine Lebanon Co. fence post saw. Brass bound levels by Disston and Stanley. Nice
variety of brass bound marking gauges. Long carpenter’s shaving bench, wood screw
box (thread cutter). Jeweler’s hammers and ring sizer. Hammers, mauls and
mallets. MUSEUM QUALITY Blacksmith’s swage block, large and small anvils,
several stakes, 30” cone or hom. Tongs and hammers. Blacksmith’s vises and others
as well. Several later steel planes by Stanley and others including an incomplete
Stanley 190. Brass bound squares, early dividers, etc'. Group of good brass bound
Lufkin and Stanley rules-large and small-plus one in ivory. Taps & dies, monkey
wrenches, punches & chisels, screwdrivers, many collectible hammers. C clamps and
bar clamps, metal stencils, iron pokers and rods. Lg. copper boiler w/spigot, Atlas
jigsaw, Burr mill, P.R.R. wrench, Ford wrenches, Buck Bros. Wood chisels and
others. 3 adzes, Taugers, Crote hammers. Heavily geared Yankee breast drill. One
man and two man saws, hand com shelter and cherry stoner. Brass syringes, iron eel
gig, butcher knives, wrought iron fork, spatula, ladle and strainer. 18th Century steel
sugar nippers, several pairs of fireplace tongs w/brass heads. Bunnion stretcher,
bunch of Oyster knives, some signed. Ice shaver, six scissor type candle snuffers, iron
dough scraper, brass bucket. Schaefferstown-Brickerville road sign. L.R. Downing
milk can. Small wine press, old hardware including jars of early rosehead nails.

Brass bound dentists case-complete. Dovetailed pine chest w/divided trays. Twenty
drawer document chest. Triner air mail scale, Columbia family scale, French letter
scale. Four extremely fine Japanese wood block prints or rice paper. Also painting on
silk.
