Spring -Grove purchased the top pig at the Delaware

pigs bred by Richard Miller on Test at the PA center.
This $lBOO winner produced not only the top indexing
pen but each of the 2 top indexing individuals over all
breeds at the Penn State Test center. Average daily
gain 2.40; days to 230 lb. 136; back fat 0.85; Loiireye
5.07; percent lean cut 61.4; feed conversion 2.26.

miles south of the Pa. State line take Ridge
Road off of Rt. 136 one mile south of Whiteford
and follow to Delp Road, take Delp Road to farm
(also 20 miles north of Bel Air)

22 Registered -155 Grades
T.B. and Bangs tested for interstate shipment, also
pregnancy checked.
25 cows are recently fresh -18 cows are due close to
sale time.
Those milking are averaging 52 lbs. milk per day and
the butterfat test for the year averages over 3.7%.
Sire Power bulls have been used for years and the
herd is bred to High P D. Sires including Trump, Ace,
New Hope, Clem, Matador and Apollo King. Some of
the registered cows are sired by Milu Betty Ivanhoe
Chief, Apollo Rocket, Paclamar Christmas, Prete
Burke Idol, Pmeyhill Galaxy, Arlmda Chief Diplomat
and other top sires
The cows offer plenty of base milk throughout the
entire base period. This group of cows are sound,
young with good udders.
The heifers are all home raised, well grown and m
fme condition, nearly all daughters of Sire Power sires.
