Simmental breeders meet
KEYSTONE, Co.
Nearly four hundred
members of the American
Simmental
Association and their
families participated in
ASA’s sixth annual Summer
Conference held recently at
Keystone Resort, 70 miles
west of Denver.
“Our 1980 Summer Con
ference was our best ever in
terms of productivity,” said
Executive Secretary Earl
Peterson. “Members from
32 states and Canada, at
tended, and their eagerness
to provide input during the
working committee

Raising calves is a tricky
business That’s why modern
calf raisers are going to indi
vidual hutches to help save
more calves by cutting down
on pneumonia, scours and hoof
problems Properly made
hutches help eliminate the
dampness, crowding and poor
ventilation that plague many
calf barns
When not in use, stakes can
be removed and strong LI-bolts
You can be assured of this kind on top let you conveniently pick

meetings, contributed to its
success.”
Fifteen committees were
convened, all chaired by a
member of the ASA
Trustees, and covered
subject matter dealing with
concepts, performance, the
World Simmental
Federation, breeder’s
guidelines, youth and
education, Polled Sim
mental, convention agendas
and several others.
One decision which came
out of the Summer Con
ference was the extension of
ASA’s cost-sharing ad
vertising program, in which
unique one-piece construction
of heavy gauge fiber glass
makes them weatherproof, so
they will last indefinitely with
' normal care No joints for
moisture and bacteria to creep
through A white gel-coat finish
keeps them cool in summer
I want to know more
details on how I can raise healthier calves
with the Fiberdome CALFhutch?
