Farm Credit announces promotions
YORK - H. Richard Zook,
general manager of Federal
Land Bank Association and
associate manager of
Production Credit
Association announces the
following promotions:
Kenneth E. Davis has been
appointed to. the newly
created position, branch
manager of the York Office.
Ken will be responsible for
coordinating lending
operations, including
customer service, training,
and marketing in York
County.
Davis joined the Farm
Credit staff as a loan officer
in 1976 in the Carlisle Office.
During the past year, he
coordinated the opening of a
full-time Branch Office in
Perry County.
Along with his wife Anne
and four children, Davis
operates a small farm in
northern York County.
Edward N. Heindel has
been promoted to the
position of senior credit
analyst.
Heindel will be responsible
for credit and appraisal
1980 tested boars
to sell
HARRINGTON, Del. -
Animals from the 1960
Delaware Boar Test will be
sold at auction on Tuesday,
September 2, at the
Delaware State Fairgounds,
Harrington. The sale will
start at 6:30 p.m.
According to University of
Delaware extension
livestock specialist Richard
Fowler, there were 44 boars
on test this summer, with
many of them gaining over
2.0 pounds a day.
The averages for all the
boars were; 2.09 pounds
daily gain, .75 inches
backfat, and a feed ef
ficiency ratio of 2.37 pounds
of feed per pound of gam.
The average index is 100. A
boar must have an index of
90 to sell. Twenty-seven
boars will be sold.
The highest indexing boars
were a pen of Durocs con
signed by Edwards and
Edwards Farm, Rich
Square, N.C. These boars
had an average index of 130,
a backfat of .68 inches, a
daily gain of 2.20 pounds and
feed efficiency of 2.17.
Close to the leader was
another Duroc pen con
signed by Xenneth Ketterer
of Newville, Pa. These boars
hadan average index of 128,
a daily gain of 2.4, and feed
efficiency of 2.17 pounds of
Kenneth E. Davis
in Delaware
teed per pound of gain.
The highest indexing in
dividual boar this year was a
Yorkshire consigned by
Leon Arnold of Lebiuion, Pa.
The boar indexed 142 and
had a daily gain of 2.57.

a loan officer. He was
promoted to credit appraisal
analyst in 1977.

sponsored by the Delaware
Pork Producers Association
and the Delaware Extension
Service.

Aulbach began her career
with Farm Credit this past
May as a senior office
assistant in the Credit
Department. She graduated
from Dallastown Area High
School in 1976, and attended
York College of Penn
sylvania, she has had
commercial banking ex
perience.

with her husband John in
Spring Garden Township.-
