Fulton Grangers vote support for vet school, mushrooms
OAKRYN - Fulton
Grange No. 66 held then
regular meeting Monday
evening at their hall in
Oakryn, Lancaster Co.
Harry Baker, past master,
presided when the Grange
went on record in support of
the Child Nutrition Act in
U.S. Congress
They also
adopted the
Order 4 July base
ALEXANDRIA, Va. -
Middle Atlantic Order
Market Administrator
Joseph D. Shine Monday
announced a July 1980 base
milk price of $13.14 per
hundredweight and an ex
cess milk price of $11.66.
The weighted average
July price is $13.12 and the
butterfat differential for the
month is 16.0 cents.
Due to an order amend
ment, the July base and
excess milk pnces and the
weighted average price are
not comparable to prior
months. Beginning m July
the advertising and
promotion deduction was
increased from 7 to 12 cents
a hundredweight. Fur
thermore, the amended
order does not call for the
advertising withholding rate
to be deducted from the
weighted average price as it
was before.
Therefore, the July base
and excess milk pnces
reflect a five-cent larger
advertising deduction in
July, but a seven-cent
deduction in pnor months.
Order 4 prices are an
nounced for 3.5 percent milk
