Hobbes Lancaster Fanning, Saturday, August 16,1980—A37 rvice awards According to John Z Shearer, Franklin County Extension director and state awards committee chair man. the three men are being cited for “outstanding educational contributions to Pennsylvania’s agri culture.” The awards program will highlight the annual meeting where about 2500 Extension agents will convene August 11-14 to review their responsibilities as educators - Duncan, a member of the Extension staff smce 1958, is being honored for his educational work in the areas of dairy, land use, fanner cooperatives, youth, and farm-city relations. A native of Ene County, he received a bachelor of science degree from Penn State, majoring in agricultural education. Hetrick, a native of Snyder County, has been a member of the Penn State staff for 17 years He is receiving the award on the basis of his dairy, farm management, horticulture, and agronomy programs. He received a bachelor of science degree from Penn State m 1954, majoring m agricultural education. Hobbes, a native of Nor thumberland County, con ducts educational programs in the areas of livestock’and youth He received a bachelor of science degree from Penn State in 1953, majoring in agricultural education.
