Jeanne and Sheri Pierce, R 1 Newmanstown, each took firsts in four of the event classes they entered. Jeanne, 18, rode her 14 year old Quarter Horse mare Sierra for the blues in Western Pleasure Pony and Senior Stock Seat Equitation. The president of the Spur & Bit Club also took first with her horse m Semor Grooming and Showmanship and m the Mare halter class. Not to be left behind, 13- year-old Shen Pierce won top honors in the Junior Grooming & Showmanship class and m the Weanling halter class. Riding her Id year-old Pony of America mare. Speckled Fawn, Sheri was picked by judge Robert Gregory, Lititz, as the first place entry in the Junior Stock Seat Equitation class and by judge Carol Henkel, Quarryville, in Open Trail Pony.
