Most fans know that the
cornerstone of the rodeo
itself is the Saddlebronc
riding contest. Staying in the
saddle requires more
balance and timing than just
brute strength alone. Donnie
Reeder scored high here
with 63 points on a horse
called “Mr. Moore” to wrap
up first place honors. Jackie
Hammett on “Velvet
Delivery” and David West
on “Sweetwater” claimed
second and third positions in
that order.
More than 33C0 fans wit
nessed the August 2nd
performance.
Cowtown Rodeo will
continue to provide family
entertainment at its best
every Saturday evening at
7:30 p.m. up through August
30th. While weekly shows are
provided at Cowtown
throughout the summer
season, another identical
Cowtown Rodeo goes on the
road. Up and coming road
shows will be given in North
Washington, Pa., (five
performances); Harford
County Fan*, Harford, Pa.,
and the Rutlland State Fair
in Vermont later this month.
