1 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
%*cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups chocolate chips
2 1 /z cups flour
Cream butter, brown sugar, sugar and vanilla until light
and fluffy. Add eggs and beat well Combine flour, baking
soda and salt and add to the creamed mixture Stir in the
chocolate chips. Bake in 375° F. oven until lightly
browned.
SUGAR COOKIES
3 eggs
3 cups brown sugar
\Vz cups lard
Vh teaspoons baking soda
P/k teaspoons cream of tartar
3% pints flour
1 pint thick milk
Mix all ingredients and bake m 400° F. oven until bghtly

FORGOTTEN COOKIES
2 egg whites
3 A cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
y< teaspoon salt
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Beat the egg whites until stiff and add the sugar, vanilla
and salt Blend in the chocolate bits Heat oven to 350* F.
and drop cookies by teaspoonsful onto a greased cookie
sheet Place the cookies m the oven and turn the oven off.
Leave the cookies in the oven 15 minutes or overnight.
Nuts may also be used.
CHEERIOS CRISPY COOKIES
Vh cups sugar
% cup butter, softened
Va cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla
legg
1% cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
Vz teaspoon baking soda
1 cup oats
1 cup raisins
4 cups Cheenos
Heat the oven to 375° F. Mix sugar, butter, water,
vanilla and egg. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop by
teaspoonsful onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake until light
brown, 10-12 minutes. Makes about 4% dozen cookies.
