Eight members, ten heifers compete in Georgia
ATHENS, Ga. - Eight
Pennsylvania Junior Angus
members showed ten heifers
at the Southeastern Regional
Junior Angus Heifer Show m
Athens, Georgia.
The show was held on June
23 at the University of
Georgia and was sponsored
by the American Angus
Association, Georgia Junior
Angus Association, and
Georgia Angus Association.
Show judge was Harold Dee
Woody University of Illinois,
Carbondale, IL.

Division. Christine Shive of

of York showed South
Branch Sarita 912 in class 6
where he also won a first
place ribbon.
The remaining eight
heifers were shown m the

dairyman makes sure they
have it as a condition of
employment. In reality, the
dairyman handles the in

intention of making sure
there is coverage.

said he also paid Christmas
bonuses.
While these two examples
are from vastly different
size operations and
represent two opposite ends
of the employment spec
trum, the intention here is to
provide examples to start
the dairyman thinking of
ways he can better handle
his labor needs.
