feeder pigs moving across
state lines must either be
tested and found negative for
pseudorabies or originate m
a state with authority to
quarantine herds where the
disease is diagnosed or
suspected
Federal shipping
regulations for pseudorabies
went into effect Feb. 16,1979,
except for the regulation
requiring state quarantine,
which was postponed until
July 1,1980. Thus, states had
over a year to obtain
legislative authority to
