BY CURT HAULER
MIDDLETOWN -

dairy meeting Monday night
featured a talk on breeding
better Holstems and an

in an improving herd,

divided into several classes.
wnty Dairy Princess Cindy Lupey, R 4 Linglestown, was
among a number of youth judges rating the Holsteins of Ray and Dale Kennedy.

Buffington said he feels
farmers who use artificial
insemination on cows and
run a bull with heifers are
missing a good chance to
improve their herd quickly.
He said farmers should put
their herds on a 100 percent
AI program if they are going
to realize maximum genetic
growth.
